Hi!
My name is Corinne. I am fortunate to have grown up in the state of Washington and will always call it home. I love nothing more than exploring alpine, mountainous terrain and running singletrack ridge-line trails. More recently, I have lived in and experienced several new states in America. The adventure never stops.
This blog was created as a way to document my time as a Park Ranger in 2017, where I worked in the backcountry of one of America’s greatest untamed treasures, Gates of the Arctic National Park and Preserve. For the summer, I lived in a small bush village called Bettles with some of the most incredibly kind, wild, and passionate people. I will forever be grateful that I had an opportunity not many will experience. My hope was to create a vivid picture of my adventures to share with you.
Since 2017, my love and appreciation for the outdoors has only grown. I started running more so I can go further, faster, and higher than I would have ever imagined possible. I want to share some of my adventures from trail running, hiking, backpacking, and traveling. Some other things that bring me joy include yoga to keep me balanced and stable, cooking, baking sourdough, and cross-stitching in my spare time.
Disclaimer – I just wanted to mention that at this point everything I write about on this blog is me doing my best. I have no expertise in living and working in Alaska, preparing backcountry food, or traveling. Thanks for reading!
